E Team Ends Season with a Big Home Win Against Woburn!

The Rockets E team ended their regular season with a win against Woburn.  Cam Harrigan and Brady Anderson combined for a tackle on to start off the game.  Woburn was on the board scoring a touchdown a few minutes after play began.  Reading responded quickly.  Brady Comenos and Matt O’Malley made exceptional tackles with the offensive line held by Lance Barretto, Alex Merkle, Kamden Greatorex and Jaxson Donahue providing blocking.

Ryan Pulpi scored a touchdown on a second down.  Shortly after Reading was on the move again with Lance Barretto and Brendan Boutiette providing great blocking to allow for Jakob Maher to score just before half time. With Trevor Fiore at QB he passed the ball to Zach Lindmark who ran in for the extra point.

Cam Harrigan started the second half as QB and helped move the ball well with Alex Merkle, Quinn Yandle and Ethan Pember adding in the running game. Woburn’s first second half offensive attempt was stopped by big tackles from Matthew O’Malley, Michael Zapach, Brady Comenos and Franklin Travassos. Matthew O’Malley’s tackle was a big play where he stole the ball from Woburn causing a turnover in Reading’s favor. Reading followed with a huge run from Alex Merkle which was called back on a penalty.

Reading defensive line included a gang tackle for a loss on Woburn completed by Zach Lindmark, Caden McNeice, Michael Zapach, Lance Barretto, Jake Whitmer and Jaxson Donahue. Trevor Fiore made a big individual tackle on the 30 yard line to stop Woburn from scoring.  Aidan Gomez and Sean DuRoss executed tough blocks which allowed Jakob Maher to run for his second touchdown of the game. What a way to wrap up the regular season at home! The E team plays in the Pride Bowl in Chelmsford MA this coming Saturday.
